Flood Recovery Triple P and Cyclone Recovery Triple P

Flood Recovery Triple P and Cyclone Recovery Triple P-Positive Parenting Program are new programs that have been developed in response to the Queensland floods and cyclone. This program is being evaluated by The Parenting and Family Support Centre at the University of Queensland.

Triple P has been extensively researched and evaluated and has been found to be effective for improving both parental skills and confidence, and child behaviour. However, it has not yet been evaluated in a flood or cyclone recovery situation. We understand that every family experienced the floods or cyclone differently and we would like to understand how different family's are coping.

The research project investigates the impact the Triple P seminar has on the emotional health of your family and community. Participating in the research will help us understand what support families need and how we can improve the seminars. If you are interested in participating or getting more information please visit our website www.exp.psy.uq.edu.au/recovery or contact the research project coordinator Lauren Hodge on (07) 3365 6207 or email l.hodge@uq.edu.au.
