- Professor Matt Sanders received the President's Award for Distinguished Contribution to Psychology from the Australian Psychological Society
- Professor Matt Sanders named Queenslander of the Year
- Professor Matt Sanders nominated as Honorary President of Canadian Psychological Association
- Professor Matt Sanders received the Trailblazer Award from the Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (Parenting and Families Special Interest Group)

- Ms Felicity West awarded the Triple P Student Research Award by Triple P International
2005
- Dr Alina Morawska awarded the Australian Psychological Society's Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology Award
- Dr Karen Turner received the University of Queensland's Social and Behavioural Sciences Faculty Award for Excellence in Research and its Dissemination to the Community
2004
- Professor Matt Sanders received the International Collaborative Prevention Research Award from the Society for Prevention Research
- Dr Karen Turner received the Dean's Commendation for Outstanding Research Higher Degree Thesis 2003 awarded by The University of Queensland
2003
- Professor Matt Sanders appointed Fellow of the Academy of Experimental Criminology

- Dr Karen Turner awarded the Dr Helen Row - Zonta International Memorial Prize 2000 by the Senate of The University of Queensland
1997
- Professor Matt Sanders received a Distinguished Career Award from the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Parenting and Family Support Centre awarded the National Violence Prevention Award, Overall First Prize, Australian Heads of Government
